The Cross

“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God” (I Corinthians 1:18).

Word StudyThe word excruciate means “to cause great agony or torment” It is derived from the Latin ex meaning “out of” or “from” and cruciate meaning “cross.” Thus the word excruciating means from “from the cross.”
